A 12-year-old girl has been killed in an Israeli attack on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.
Donya Abu Mohsen died when a shell hit the pediatric ward where she and several other children were sheltering.
She had already lost her family and her leg in a missile attack on their house.
Last month, she told Al Jazeera about her hopes and dreams.
Ayed Abu Eqtaish is the Director of the accountability programme at Defense for Children International Palestine.
He spoke to some of the children affected by the war in Gaza and says the conflict will have lasting psychological consequences for the young.
