Gaza’s diaper factory: Workers copy designs to cut high prices
Israel’s war on Gaza has sparked a humanitarian catastrophe which the UN warns is heading towards famine.
Children and babies are the most vulnerable, as diapers and formula have become difficult to find or are unaffordable.
One factory in Rafah has become a lifeline by producing handmade alternatives.
Personal protective gear is being repurposed as diapers, with the factory producing 500 a day, but it’s only a fraction of what’s needed.
