Safety of Rwanda bill :UK politicians vote in favour of legislation
UK politicians have voted in favour of a bill to send asylum seekers to Rwanda, meaning it’s passed its second reading in Parliament. The government signed an agreement with the East African country earli-er this month .If the bill eventually becomes law — it would force those seeking asylum in the UK to be sent to Rwanda for processing. In November, the Supreme Court declared the plan unlawful, saying that asylum seekers could face ill-treatment.
