Zambia quarry collapse: Nine workers killed in Lusaka province
Rescue workers in Zambia retrieved nine bodies after a quarry collapse near Lusaka. The incident occurred as a truck was loading gravel, causing the quarry wall to cave in, and trapping several workers. Only the truck driver survived. The victims included two brothers who were the family’s breadwinners. The tragedy marks the second industrial accident in Zambia within nine months, following a fatal mine collapse in the north.
