EU’s Borrel meets Lebanese officials amid uptick in Israeli attacks
The EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell is in Beirut for meetings with Lebanese officials.
He is there for talks on de-escalating the cross-border conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
Earlier, Borrell visited UN peacekeepers who have been in southern Lebanon for more than 40 years — patrolling the border with Israel
He urged for an end to the war – saying it is a threat to regional stability.
