Man’s mission to combat hunger: From personal funds to crowdfunding in Nigeria’s Borno state
Sulaiman Mustapha Adam began feeding those who cannot afford food due to poverty. Witnessing the dire conditions, including people eating shrubs out of desperation, motivated him to act. Initially using his own funds, he later turned to crowdfunding, with support from others and his team driving the project. After seeing distressing images on social media, he travelled from Kano to Borno state to help. His reward comes from the happiness of those he assists and the prayers from the community. Despite the challenges, his goal remains to alleviate hunger and improve lives in Nigeria.
