Groundbreaking filmmaker Ava DuVernay, the Academy Award nominated writer and director of “Selma,” is back with her latest film, “Origin.” It tells the true story of best-selling author Isabel Wilkerson (Academy Award nominee Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor) as she grieves the loss of her husband Brett (Jon Bernthal) while writing the book that would be “Caste: The Origins Of Our Discontent,” the exploration of Wilkerson’s controversial theory that prejudices across the world are interconnected.
