Double Comet Sighting this October | WION Podcast
Two comets will be brightening the October sky. Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, also known as Comet A3, is becoming more visible, with its closest approach to Earth on October 12. It has primarily been seen in the Tropics and Southern Hemisphere but will soon be clearer in the North. The second comet, C/2024 S1 (Atlas), discovered on September 27, will become visible toward the end of the month, with its closest approach on October 23 and perihelion on October 28. It may even be bright enough to see during the day. The best viewing opportunities for both comets this month is also highlighted in this episode.
