Diamond dust outperformed other aerosols, like sulfur dioxide, in climate models due to its effectiveness and lack of harmful side effects, such as acid rain. However, this solution is costly, estimated at $200 trillion over 45 years, and presents logistical and technological challenges, including manufacturing and deploying five million tonnes of synthetic diamond dust annually. While promising, its implementation would require significant advancements in current technology.
