Argentina’s Javier Milei tells nation to brace for painful economic shock
Argentinians are bracing themselves for austerity measures after far-right populist Javier Milei was sworn in as president.
He won the election by pledging to overhaul the economy – including "taking a sledgehammer" to the country’s social security system.
