At least 18 killed in Israeli air attack on northern Lebanon
An Israeli air attack on northern Lebanon has killed at least 18 people.
The attack happened in the village of Aitou.
Residential homes sheltering people displaced from elsewhere in Lebanon were hit.
Many of the buildings and vehicles in the blast zone have been destroyed.
It’s the first time Aitou has been targeted.
Red Cross volunteers searched for survivors while ambulances evacuated the wounded. Israel’s strikes have primarily targeted southern Lebanon, though the specific target in Aitou remains unclear.
