China-Vietnam relations: Xi Jinping visits Hanoi to deepen ties

China’s President Xi Jinping has started a two-day visit to Vietnam to upgrade diplomatic ties between the countries, three months after US President Joe Biden travelled to Hanoi. The two world powers are vying for influence in the Southeast Asian nation.
