DNC: No repeat of 1968 anti-war riots in Chicago

Ahead of the Democratic National Convention, concerns arose about the possibility of violent riots similar to those that shook Chicago in 1968. Those riots had been triggered by the Vietnam War and the assassi-nation of Martin Luther King Jr. However, this year’s protests, held in solidarity with Palestinians, have remained largely peaceful.
