French farmers protest in Brussels: Farm workers decry red tape and rising costs
French farmers took their protests to Brussels on Tuesday. Their protest movement has been growing across France inspired by similar demonstrations in Germany and the Netherlands. The farmers are angry both at the EU and the French government for what they say are rising prices, taxes and unreasonable ecological legislation.
