Georgia parliamentary election: Ruling party leading in crucial vote
Partial results show Georgia’s ruling party has taken the lead in a high-stakes parliamentary election. With more than two thirds of ballots counted, the Georgian Dream Party has 53 percent of the vote. The election is widely seen as a referendum on the country’s opportunity to join the EU.
