Giza Pyramid Workers Were Poisoned Here’s Why | WION Podcast

A groundbreaking study revealing that workers who built the Giza pyramid complex were exposed to toxic levels of copper, marking one of the earliest examples of metal contamination in history. Researchers from France’s Aix-Marseille Université discovered that the contamination began around 3265 BCE, indicating a thriving tool-making industry at the time. By analyzing soil samples from the ancient Khufu harbor, scientists found elevated copper levels that were 5 to 6 times higher than normal, along with arsenic, suggesting the production of tools essential for pyramid construction.
