Hillside neighbourhoods damaged near Athens
Greeks are returning to their homes to assess the damage caused by the worst wildfire of the year. One person died and 60 others were injured in the blaze. The fire came extremely close to the Greek capital. Dozens of buildings near Athens were destroyed, and thousands of people were told to leave their homes.
Al Jazeera’s Charles Stratford traveled to Dow Penteli, near the capital, to meet one family whose entire livelihood has been destroyed.
