The Macron government has been strident about which side it’s on – supporting bans placed on pro-Palestine protests by local authorities – and much of the media have effectively taken the same view.
News outlets owned by conservative billionaires have been peddling Israeli talking points – and weaponising this war, to go after some of their favourite targets: immigrants, Islam and the political left.
