Israel has moved from deterrence to an ‘offensive footing’: Analysis
An Israeli air strike has hit an apartment block near central Beirut, killing at least three people.
The attack in the Cola area is the first outside the southern suburb of Dahiya, where Israel has been targeting senior Hezbollah figures.
And the Israeli military says it has carried out air strikes on the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah, further heightening fears of an expanding conflict.
The city is controlled by Iran-backed Houthi fighters. At least four people were killed.
Daniel Levy, an analyst from the US-Middle East Project and a former Israeli government negotiator, has shared his thoughts with Al Jazeera about Israel’s strategy going forward.
