Israel intensifies attacks on Gaza’s refugee camps: AJE correspondent
The sound of Israeli drones fills the air across Rafah, with about 1.5 million displaced Palestinians preparing for a potential ground invasion. Uncertain of where to seek refuge, Rafah has served as their last sanctuary for the past six months.
In the wake of the past 24 hours, residents are grappling with the aftermath. Israeli strikes have claimed the lives of at least 24 individuals, predominantly women and children, within residential areas.
The Israeli military’s assault on Gaza persists, with current focus on central regions where refugee camps endure repeated attacks, resulting in the destruction of health facilities, residential structures, and infrastructure.
Amidst the chaos, civilians are forced to relocate constantly, underscoring the widespread targeting of the entire Gaza Strip.
Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud reports from Rafah in southern Gaza.
