Israel likely to argue self-defence, focus on October 7 at ICJ: Professor
Michael Lynk, a Canadian law professor, says his “educated guess” is that Israel will show footage from the Hamas attack, arguing that it is defending itself in Gaza. “When you’re in a weak position as a lawyer representing a client, you want to try to argue your very best facts and try to get the court to focus on those and draw them away from the arguments, the facts and the law that the other side has [put forward],” Lynk told Al Jazeera.
