Israeli military forces medical staff to abandon Al Awda Hospital in Gaza
The Israeli military has forced medical staff to abandon the Al Awda Hospital in northern Gaza. Troops besieged the facility in the Jabalia Refugee Camp for four days, blocking ambulances and all access.
Now, they’ve sent a mass exodus of doctors, nurses and paramedics streaming west on foot, seeking safety and shelter, and forced to leave their patients behind.
Al Jazeera spoke with one of the doctors Doctor Marwan Fwaihi, as he made that journey.
