Korea tensions: South Korea fires warning shots near the demarcation line
South Korea’s military has fired warning shots near the demarcation line dividing the two Koreas.
It comes after North Korea blew up parts of the deeply symbolic roads connecting it to the south. Pyongyang’s military last week vowed to permanently seal its southern border after spending months laying mines and building anti-tank barriers. Leader Kim Jong Un’s declared South Korea his country’s "principal enemy".
Robert Kelly is a professor of International Relations at Pusan National University.
He says North Korea blowing up the roads won’t have any practical effect.
