In twenty-five of Gujarat’s 26 Lok Sabha seats, voting is currently underway. Election officials report that in the State’s single-phase Lok Sabha elections, a total of 4.97 crore people—2,56 crore men, 2.41 crore women, and 1,534 members of the third gender—are eligible to cast ballots at 50,788 polling places. According to EC data, there are 17,275 polling stations in urban regions and 33,513 in rural areas.
