The aid boats will leave Larnaca and have an 18-hour journey towards Gaza.
What we don’t know is how the aid will be delivered from the boat into the enclave and to distribution centres as there is no functioning port in Gaza.
There is a lot of cynicism from the Palestinians about this maritime corridor plan. They say it is not enough to get the amount of aid needed into Gaza and it is a logistical nightmare.
There is a much more efficient way of doing it as it was going on for 20 years before October 7 – the land crossings into the Gaza Strip.
