Mourners gather in Birjand to pay their respects to late Iranian President Raisi
The body of Iran’s late President Ebrahim Raisi has arrived in the eastern city of Birjand as his funeral continues.
Thousands have gathered in the streets to pay their respects on the fourth official day of mourning.
Later on Thursday, Raisi’s body will be taken to his home town of Mashhad for burial in the north east of the country.
Raisi and eight others, including the Foreign Minister, were killed in a helicopter crash near the Azerbaijan border on Sunday.
