Palestinian paramedic mourns son killed in Israeli strike, prays for end to child deaths
Nader Al Buhisi, a paramedic with the Palestinian Red Crescent, lost his eldest son, Hamza, in an Israeli strike near their home. Hamza, a polite and bright student, was severely injured, and despite Nader’s efforts to save him, he passed away in the ICU. Nader now struggles with returning home, where Hamza used to greet him, and is heartbroken by his younger son Kareem’s loss. As he witnesses the deaths of innocent children daily, Nader prays that no other child will suffer the same fate as his son.
