Palestinians take to streets in Bethlehem for Prisoner’s Day rally

Mass detentions, ill-treatment and enforced disappearances…
Those are the allegations the UN says it has received about Palestinian prisoners in Israeli custody.

Wednesday marks Palestinian prisoners’ day, remembering the thousands of detainees held. often indefinitely in Israeli jails.

Israeli authorities have released 1,506 people from Gaza since April 4, including women and children.

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees says they were held for weeks in military facilities, with no means of communicating with their families.
Other allegations include sexual abuse and torture, including psychological and physical harm.

Al Jazeera’s Nida Ibrahim reports in Bethlehem in the Occupied West Bank where Palestinians have held a rally in support of prisoners.
