Poverty in Mexico: Indigenous women feel forgotten by government
Mexico will elect a new president next month- and for the first time, the two frontrunners are women.
It comes at a time many indigenous women feel they have been forgotten by the government – An estimated 70 percent live in poverty.
Al Jazeera’s Julia Galiano visited several indigenous communities, to find out how people there think the upcoming vote may impact their future.
