Preparing for the Paralympics: 16-year-old swimmer set to represent Uganda
Husnah Kukundakwe, Uganda’s sole para-swimmer at 16, made her Paralympic debut at Tokyo 2021 at age 14, now poised for Paris 2024. Born in 2007 without a right lower arm and with a left-hand impairment, she overcame societal barriers to pursue swimming. With over 10 international medals, she aims for a Paralympic final while advocating for disabled youth.
