Silencing media in Occupied West Bank: Israeli arrests of Palestinian journalists
Since the war on Gaza began, Israeli forces have detained at least 108 Palestinian journalists in the occupied West Bank – nearly half of them 59 remain in jail.
Many of the charges relate to their work, journalists are often accused of provocation.
Other media workers have been targeted and harassed.
Most recently, Al Jazeera’s bureau in Ramallah was shut down, preventing its staff from reporting in the occupied West Bank.
