Sinaloa cartel civil war: Infighting causes chaos in northern Mexico

The Mexican security forces are struggling to contain violence in the northern state of Sinaloa. It’s home to the cartel of the same name. The unrest stems from July, when Joaquin Guzman, son of the cartel’s infamous former leader El Chapo Guzman, allegedly kidnapped a founder of the group and took him to the US.

Al Jazeera’s John Holman reports from the state capital, Culiacan.
