Sudan: UN warns of famine threat as fighting escalates in northern Darfur

In Sudan’s Northern Darfur, displaced residents describe dire conditions under a tree amid intense heat and seasonal rains. They fled el-Fasher due to heavy shelling and gunfire in what’s described as a major escalation. Thousands face uncertainty with missing family members and urgent needs for food and shelter.
