Al Jazeera correspondent Tareq Abu Azzoum described how Israel’s war on Gaza has profoundly impacted his life, making him a refugee in his own land. He faced numerous security and humanitarian challenges from day one. Displaced over five times with his family, he now finds himself trapped near Al Aqsa Hospital, a site devastated by Israeli airstrikes. As a journalist, he struggles with his inability to provide safety for his family in targeted humanitarian zones. Abu Azzoum called the war one of the worst genocides in modern history.
