Trump calls for increased security after second assassination attempt near his golf course
The man arrested over an alleged assassination attempt of former US President Donald Trump, has been charged with two firearms offences.
Ryan Routh is said to have lurked for up to 12 hours on Trump’s golf course with a rifle and a scope.
He fled the scene when secret service officers fired at him – but he was caught later.
Speaking about the incident a few hours ago, Trump thanked the Secret Service for their quick response, but also asked for more officers on his security detal.
