Two children among four killed in Israel’s air attacks on southern Lebanon
At least four people have been killed and 11 wounded in two Israeli air raids on the towns of Souaneh and Adshit, in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon’s civil defence.
One woman and her two children were killed in Souaneh, while one person was killed in Adshit.
The Israeli military is launching retaliatory attacks, after one soldier was killed by rocket fire from Lebanon on Wednesday.
Eight other people were injured in that barrage.
Earlier, the Israeli army said it bombed Hezbollah positions overnight.
Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr has the latest in Beirut.
Elijah Magnier is a Military and Political Analyst. He says the latest exchange of fire will likely increase attacks on Israel from other fronts.
