UN Srebrenica resolution: July 11 designated genocide remembrance day
The United Nations has passed a resolution designating July 11 as Srebrenica genocide remembrance day. On that day in 1995, more than 8000 mainly Muslim men and boys were massacred by Bosnian Serbs. The vote passed despite strong opposition from Serbia.
