US hits targets linked to Iran: Air strikes follow killing of US troops in Jordan
Iraq and Syria have condemned the US for carrying out air strikes on Iran-backed groups on their territory.
The US says it hit at least 85 targets using long-range bombers.
That’s a response to a drone attack on an army base in Jordan last weekend, that killed three American soldiers.
Armed groups are targeting the US over its support for Israel.
Syrian state media say at least 13 pro-Iranian fighters were killed.
