Venezuela-Guyana dispute: Maduro proposes a bill to declare Essequibo a province.

A Guyanese army helicopter with seven people on board has been reported missing near the border with Venezuela. It comes as tensions are increasing between the two countries.
The disputed Essequibo region is an area rich in natural resources.

Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro is pushing for a bill to create a new province.

Guyana’s President, Irfaan Ali, told Al Jazeera that he’s called on the United Nations Security Council to help meditate.
